Welcome! I’m Roberta Aversa, a UKCP-registered attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist with a deep commitment to helping you understand the impact of life experiences on your emotional well-being. My journey in psychotherapy began with studies at the London Centre for Psychotherapy, and I later completed the Bowlby Centre’s four-year clinical training programme.
In addition to my private practice, I tutor and help manage the Certificate in Attachment Theory and Skills at The Bowlby Centre, where I’m fortunate to support others in their training and development in the field of attachment-based psychotherapy.
Session Availability & Formats
I offer sessions Monday to Friday and can meet with clients once or twice a week. My sessions are available in-person at my Walthamstow consulting room, or remotely via telephone or video link. I offer therapy in both English and Italian to best suit your preferences.
Location
My consulting room is now located in Chingford (E4). It is easily accessible by public transport and just a short bus ride away from both Blackhorse Road Station and Walthamstow Central Station, which are served by both the Underground and Overground lines.

Hello, I’m Rosalind Grainger UKCP. I studied at the Metanoia Institute, the New School of Psychotherapy & Counselling, and the Bowlby Centre.
Before completing my training, I was a magazine journalist specialising in features about health, fitness and wellbeing. I also co-founded a forum for parent carers of disabled children. I work Monday-Friday in Chapel End, just off Chingford Road, handy for the A406 (North Circular) and a quick bus ride (34, 97, 215 or 357) or 20 mins walk from Walthamstow Central station. I also work remotely (video calls or phone).
